-Keeping refrigerated cargo fresh depends not only on the temperature inside the container, but also humidity control and fresh-air circulation.
The Reefer Containers are equipped with state of the art technologies including humidity control, controlled atmosphere (CA), cold treatment (CT), ensures perishable goods in proper temperature-controlled environment.
The Reefer fleet consists of 20’, 40’ High Cube and 45’ Pallet Wide. They are available in different sizes to meet all your needs.
-Typically, refrigerated units can store cargo at a temperature range from -40°C to +30°C. Our technology enables you to maintain the freshness of the cargo even in extreme high or low external temperatures.
Containers available to maintain temperature control range as low as -35°C and up to +30°C in ambient environment up to 50°C.
-Yes! With the State-of- Art temperature control technology of shipping liners, the online access provides a 360 view of your cargo during every leg of its voyage. This includes temperature, humidity data, GPS tracking, route deviations, and comprehensive end-of-voyage reports, all available in your Personal Area
-You can find the current or most recent location of your container by entering your container number on the tracking page. The latest GPS position received from the container will be visible on a map for shipments on the Premium or Integrated package.
-To ensure the safe transportation of refrigerated cargo, it is important to properly package and label the cargo, monitor the temperature and humidity levels throughout the journey, and take appropriate measures to prevent damage or spoilage during transit.
-Additionally, load the container properly to allow good air circulation, be careful of overstuffing the container as this can lead to cold spots.
-For additional assistance, contact our reefer expert.
-Our reefer expert can provide you guidance, from factory to pharmacy to support transportation of pharmaceuticals under 15-25°C, 2-8°C as well as frozen temperature conditions.
-Depending on the sensitivity as well as cargo value of your shipments, we will customize strict temperature-controlled solution with regards to e.g. additional hyper-care, specific reefer equipment (e.g. for blood plasma) and power off times.
-Pharmaceutical and healthcare supply chain requires high levels of complexity with zero room for error. Our dedicated team will help you manage your supply chain. Built to minimise risk, maximise flexibility, and offer end-to-end visibility, you can trust our services to keep you in complete charge.
-To begin with, a container is specially adapted to receive pharmaceutical products, after which various procedures are put in place to ensure the control of the products: Pre-Trip Inspection (PTI) to ensure that the container is clean, dry and odorless, centralized approach, self-inspection, post-trip data sharing available on demand. And finally, a dedicated team of experts will be assigned to you throughout the entire voyage.
It is important to note three key factors for a perfect temperature of your cargo:
1.Outside temperatures entering the container during loading and unloading
2.The temperature of the product itself prior to loading
3.Ventilation inside the container.
A reefer container is a specialized container designed to transport temperature-sensitive goods in the most ideal cold conditions. From frozen, chilled, to fresh goods, this container offers a reliable solution for your cargo’s individual temperature, atmosphere and humidity requirements with latest technologies.
Oversized and overweight cargo is characterised by exceeding the proportions and capabilities of a single standard container. This type of cargo is defined as In Gauge, Out of Gauge and Break Bulk cargo, which needs tailor-made and efficient solutions for the shipping:
· In-Gauge and/or Out-Of-Gauge: in 20' / 40’ Open Top or Flat Rack containers.
· Break Bulk is typically transported on a bed of multiple flat rack containers. This so-called Platform is designed to accommodate oversized or irregular-shaped cargo that doesn’t fit into standard containers.
· Prestige has become the leading forwarder in this field, with adapted vessels, a specialized team and rich merchandise expertise. At Prestige, carrying heavy and oversized cargo has never been so easy.
Almost any type of oversized, heavy, or irregular cargo can be shipped as break bulk, including:
· Heavy machinery and equipment: Excavators, bulldozers, cranes, turbines, and presses
· Vehicles: Trains, locomotives, trams, yachts, boats, and aircraft fuselages
· Infrastructure materials: Steel beams, bridge parts, windmill blades, and tower sections
· Odd-shaped cargo: Silos, tanks, boilers, presses, tubes, pipes, and cylinders
In short, break bulk shipping is ideal for transporting project cargo, parts for oil rigs, power plants, construction material, or anything else that won’t fit into a standard intermodal container.
Open tops do not have a solid roof; instead they are covered with a removable waterproof tarpaulin that can be secured with ropes. The metal beam above the door can be opened to the right or left and can also be dismantled from the container. Lashing rings at the inside base of the container are used to secure and prevent shifting of cargo during movement. This type of container is suitable for over-height and/or lengthy cargo.
Flat racks are best suited for stowage of heavy lift, over-height and/or over-width cargo. Flat racks have collapsible end frames. Lashing rings on the bottom side rails, corner posts and floor are available to enable cargo to be secured using straps or chains.
-Containerization: OOG cargo is often containerized, but in non-standard containers like open tops or flat racks. BB, on the other hand, is typically shipped in break bulk form, meaning it’s not contained within standard containers.
-Size and weight: OOG cargo is specifically defined by its dimensions and weight exceeding standard container limits. BBK, while often oversized or heavy, doesn’t necessarily have to exceed standard container dimensions.
-Specialized handling: Both OOG and BBK require specialized handling methods, but OOG often involves more complex procedures due to its irregular shape and size.
-IN-GAUGE (IG) cargoes are transported by using Flat Rack or Open Top containers, and are placed within the internal dimensions of the containers.
-OUT-OF-GAUGE CARGO (OOG) cargoes are also transported by using Flat Rack or Open Top containers, despite having dimensions which exceeds the standard dimensions or weight limits for transportation.
